Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, is easily accessible and well connected by air, train and road to all major cities from which visitors to the festival are likely to be travelling.

This page provides some suggestions of how to get to Jaipur.


Air

There are flights to Jaipur from Delhi and Mumbai. The airlines operating in this sector are Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Indigo, GoAir and Kingfisher.

Jaipur airport is just 8 km from the city centre. 
Please cross check all information with the Airline before travelling. 


Train

Jaipur is well connected by direct trains from all metros and major cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Lucknow, Kalka, Jammu, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

A taxi stand and auto-rickshaw stand are located near to the exit of Jaipur railway station.

By Road

Taxis
Taxis are easily available but, during peak season, advance booking is advised. 
Note: For long journeys, it is the policy of most taxi companies to charge for a return journey even if you are only traveling one way. 

Buses
Jaipur can also be reached by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation buses and private luxury buses which operate from all major towns and cities in Rajasthan, as well as Ahmedabad and Delhi.

Distances by road are as follows:

  Delhi – Jaipur : 266 Km   4 - 5 hours
  Jaipur – Jodhpur : 343 Km   6 to 7 hours
